East Berkshire CCG
Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) were set up by the Health and Social Care Act of 2012 as part of a major restructuring of NHS service delivery. Lead by clinicians, CCGs are responsible for buying health services for the local area such as:
- Hospital services
- Primary Care
- Urgent Care services
- Rehabilitation Care
- Most Community Health services
- Mental Health and Learning Disability services
As well as researching and understanding the health needs of the local population, it is the responsibility of the CCG to monitor how a service they have commissioned is being delivered.
Community Partnership Forum
The Community Partnership Forum brings together community and patient representatives across the three CCGs of East Berkshire to share information and discuss issues relevant to local health. It meets every other month and members of the public are very welcome to attend, listen and ask questions. The meetings take place in the evening at different venues across East Berkshire, to encourage a wide attendance.
Further information is available hereon the East Berkshire CCG website, including agendas, minutes and presentations from previous meetings.
