Dementia is undoubtedly one of the major health and social care issues of our time with over 670,000 people in England living with dementia and as we provide specialist dementia care, we understand the specific challenges faced by people living with this condition.
As part of their aim to increase awareness of dementia within our local community through sharing the knowledge and skills of their team, we are holding two free Dementia Awareness events on April 25th.
Date: Wednesday 25th April 2018
10am – 12:30pm – members of the local community and general public
2.30pm – 4.30pm – local businesses and organisations
Address: Dormy House, Ridgemount Road, Sunningdale, Berkshire SL5 9RL
The events are being led by Michele Saunders, Dementia Training Lead for Caring Homes, who will be discussing dementia and its effects and will enable participants to understand and help challenge the way people think, act and talk about the condition. There will be hints and tips to improve
communication and a practical session to understand some of the day-to day frustrations that can affect a person living with dementia.
