Frimley New Hospital Community Engagement

This report has been compiled using insights gathered from in-depth conversations carried out by Healthwatch Bracknell Forest, Healthwatch Hampshire, Healthwatch Surrey, and Healthwatch Windsor, Ascot and Maidenhead (WAM). We would like to thank all partners for their cooperation and valuable contributions.

This report summarises the key themes we heard from interview groups representing communities that often face unequal access to health and care services. While it reflects their views accurately, it may not represent everyone’s experiences. Please note that the terminology used reflects participants’ own language and may differ from typical Healthwatch terminology.

Frimley Park Hospital plans to relocate to a new site, although proposals are not yet ready for public engagement. As part of their commitment to co-designing the engagement process with key stakeholders, the Frimley New Hospital Programme (NHP) wants to carry out early discussions with community groups. They have asked local Healthwatch to support this by helping them understand the most effective ways to reach and involve the community—such as preferred engagement methods, accessibility needs, suitable times and locations, and any barriers to participation.
